“I Suck” at Making Money Online

Posted on Tuesday, 1st July 2008 in Home Based Business

Do you suck at making money online? It doesn’t matter if you work at 9-5 job, run or manage your own business, or even a student of some sort, you along with everyone else in this world suck at a lot of things in life. Plain and simple and ok to laugh at. But if you suck at something, most of us, and for good reason, probably don’t do them. For example, I played college basketball, so I play it often, but I suck at tennis, so I hardly ever play it. The point I want to make is everyone knows what they suck at, but it isn’t about what you suck at, but rather what that you focus on what you are good at and could succeed in.

Making money online can be easy and there are literally thousands of ways to really make a comfortable income online using the internet, websites, home business opportunities, or affiliate marketing. One of the quickest ways to make money online I believe is through affiliate marketing. Another way to make money is through home based business opportunities, which can take a little longer time as you build up a team and residual income based on memberships and referrals. Just remember that there are literally millions of people making money online but thousands of different ways to do it.

So don’t worry, you’re not alone in the “I suck” at making money online department, don’t stress and beatmake money online yourself up to death trying to profit and succeed making money online. There are so many different paths to your “roadmap to riches”. As you dive into new marketing techniques and strategies, you will only cut down the learning curve from the last time and continue to gain and pick up knowledge that will educate and benefit you in the long run and ultimately make you better at this. Just remember that making money online isn’t an easy one way street. Don’t be afraid to explore and find small niches to help get you started and to try something different that all the top internet marketers or internet gurus are doing.

I think one of the best ways you can step up to the plate and beat this “I suck” at making money online attitude is by finding an affiliate program that brings in a decent amount of want and need and exploit it. Start small, end big. If you really are struggling to make money online, there is one program that I really recommend in Google Manipulator. I have written my honest review on this book and think that for anyone struggling and saying “I Suck” that this eBook is for you. It will teach you how to make money online with a very small budget as well as having an affiliate program that makes out 75% of what you sell!

Then once you start to profit with an affiliate program, now it is time to invest back into yourself and your online money making adventures. Join a home based business opportunity, one that can create lasting residual income. I recommend either Eniva or Waiora, two nutritional health companies that are low startup cost and very good marketing systems.

Take a moment and step back from your overall business model and ask yourself… where else can I be making money and what area am I sucking at?

Waiora Legitimate Work At Home Business

Posted on Monday, 30th June 2008 in Home Based Business

Looking for a legitimate work at home business has been compared to looking for a needle in a haystack. Now while I will admit that it can be a little time consuming finding that perfect business opportunity that meets all your personal needs and is indeed genuine, there are in fact many legitimate work at home businesses to choose from. You just have to know what to look for.

First off, what constitutes as a scam? A scam is when you are promised one thing and receive something different or nothing at all. Unfortunately, broken promises do not mean you have been scammed. If they company claims that you can make 500 dollars or more and you don’t but they provided you with the tools needed to do the job then they are still considered a legitimate work at home business.

The problem lies with people looking for jobs rather than a business. If it’s 9-5 security you’re looking for, then the Internet is the last place you should look. The only way working from home can offer security is if you’re on someone else’s payroll.

But the Internet is known for easy business set ups and the cold truth is that all businesses are gambles. You have be prepared to invest and you have to be prepared to take some loses.

That said some businesses are less of a gamble than others. These are what work at home agents deem as a legitimate work at home business. These businesses have the following qualities.

1) They layout what the business entails. Legitimate work at home businesses have clearly drawn out instructions of the tasks you will need to perform. Whether its selling a product or service, data entry, or proofing material, the company is clear about what you need to do to make money.

This is to ensure that they attract people who are interested in that type of work. Always find out what you will be doing and if in fact its something you’re qualified for or are willing to put the hours in to learn.

2) All credible businesses will provide you with at least 2 forms of contact. Look around for an email address, business address, phone number, anything you can use to get in touch with a real person. Keep in mind however, that while having multiple methods of contact is a good thing, having too many email addresses or phone numbers is a warning sign.

Scam artists will often provide people with false numbers or email address making the prospect have to go one a wild goose chase in order to find them. If the site has more than 3 different email addresses with different hosts continue your search for a legitimate work at home business.

3) Mentoring is another important requirement for a legitimate work at home job. And this is why being able to contact someone is so important. If you cant get in touch with a real person for help, the chances of succeeding are slim. Mentoring and assistance is essential for the success of your business. You need to be able to properly understand the work at home job if you are to be proficient in it. Resources such as forums, books, a personal mentor and email updates are usually provided by legitimate work at home companies.

4) Perhaps one of the best ways to judge if in fact the home based business is a good match for you is by personally researching the company. What are other people saying about it? How long has it been around, and what is its success rate? Generally, a legitimate work at home business has good reviews but don’t be taken away by this. Find out the good and the bad. Remember, no company is perfect and you want to find out if the pros outweigh the cons for you.

Finding a legitimate work at home business can seem daunting but they are out there. Look for companies who have the above qualities and be realistic in what you are looking for in a legitimate work at home opportunity. Work From Home Industry In A Recession?

Posted on Sunday, 22nd June 2008 in Home Based Business

Let’s take our heads out of the sands and admit that times are tough. Though many people are feeling their wallets shrink, there are a number of people who are less affected by a weak economy. Among them are people who work from home.

Now, not everyone who works from home is going to come out of it wealthy, but there are those who will improve their financial situation.

Right now is actually the perfect time to work at home as it is the current trend. More companies are setting up telecommuting programs for their employees as an effective method to cut overhead expenses. Not only that but, unstable economic conditions encourage people to set up full or part-time home-based businesses.

Although there are financial benefits to working at home such the costs saved on buying expensive work clothes, saving on gas (which is through the roof), and tax benefits, working from home in itself won’t get you closer to wealth. You have to be smart about the way you do it.

Many people when they look for a self-employment opportunity approach it with the same attitude and standards as working outside the home. That is - they search for linear working relationships. The problem with linear income is there is a limit on what you can earn.

A classic example of a work at home linear income job is, you sell something to one person, get paid and then look for another person to sell to. By doing this you are putting yourself in the same economic trap that you were originally trying to free yourself from.

Very few people can obtain wealth with a linear income especially if you work from home. Even if you do make a lot of money you have to work longer hours, take on extra responsibility and be prepared for financial liability.

Instead of looking for opportunities where you are paid once for a task you do look for work at home opportunities that allow you to build residual or passive income. In other words find opportunities that pay for a task you did.

Smart people, wealthy people, people who are rarely affected by a weak economy look for opportunities that will generate a recurring, long term income, while they sleep, while they are on vacation even when they retire.

These types of work at home jobs do not build themselves overnight. They take some initial effort to set up but require little maintenance after.

Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to earn passive income and work at home. When looking for affiliate programs look for those that pay lifetime commissions. Royalties are also a great way to earn recurring income. If writing is a skill of yours there are many websites that pay royalties for your articles.

The financial situation for many is looking bleak. But you can turn it around if you work at home. Because you are making more money and are saving money, your financial situation will greatly improve. Just remember when you are looking for home based opportunities look for those where you work once and get paid over and over again.

Mentally Preparing Yourself For Business

Posted on Sunday, 8th June 2008 in Home Based Business

The facts on home business mentioned here have a consequential impact on your understanding on home business. This is because these facts are the basic and important points about home business.

People say that starting your own business is difficult. Guess what? They’re not kidding. Starting a business, in many ways, is a lot like having a child – and would you just have a child without thinking it through first? Before you get started, there are lots of things you need to think about and discuss with anyone you can.

Can You Afford to Fail?

You might have heard the old saying ‘only gamble what you can afford to lose’. Well, however you approach it, starting your own business is still gambling. A massive percentage of businesses fail in their first year. If your financial situation is such that you agonise over every small amount you spend, starting a business is probably a bad idea.

Put it this way: do not expect to succeed. Expect that you will fail, and always try your hardest not to. You’ll be pleasantly surprised if things go your way. Note that this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t believe in yourself and your business – simply that you have to realise the kind of odds you’re up against, and stay realistic.

Will You Stick at It?

Whenever one reads any reading matter, it is vital that the person enjoys reading it. One should grasp the meaning of the matter, only then can it be considered that the reading is complete.

You can’t get halfway through all this and have a sudden change of heart, or feel like you’re doomed to fail. All successful business spend plenty of time doing badly before they start to pick up. You need to prepare yourself for a steady stream of failure being slowly replaced by success. Don’t expect the world all at once.

We have omitted irrelevant information from this composition on home business as we though that unnecessary information may make the reader bored of reading the composition.

Could You Take the Stress?

Starting a business is one of the most stressful things you can do. It will affect you mentally, physically and emotionally. You need to be strong to deal with this kind of stress, and you need to have someone to turn to for support.

We have avoided adding flimsy points on home business, as we find that the addition of such points have no effect on home business.

Are You a Survivor?

There are some people who always seem to make it in the end, regardless of what life throws at them. You need to be the kind of person whose response to things going wrong is to work harder and get it fixed, not someone who cries and goes into hiding.

Many entrepreneurs say that this, more than anything, is the secret of success. You need to be a ‘never say die’ kind of person. You need to be always ready to try again, no matter what gets thrown at you. Remember that it’s not when things start to go wrong that you fail – you haven’t failed until you’ve given up.

Be Prepared to Work Hard.

If you’ve been doing a standard nine-to-five job, you’re probably used to a world where it’s someone else’s responsibility if the work doesn’t get done – you work as fast as you can for the hours you’re told to, and if it’s not done on time then it’s the manager’s fault for not hiring enough people. When you work on your own, though, there’s no-one to blame – the buck stops where it starts, with you.

You Need to Satisfy Every Customer.

Every cloud has a silver lining; so consider that this article on home business to be the silver lining to the clouds of articles on home business. It is this article that will add more spice to the meaning of home business.

When you run a home business, you can’t afford to lose any customers. You need to always be nice to them, trying to meet their needs. You have to remember that you’re the most senior person they can talk to in this organisation, and you have to act like it – when there’s no-one other than you to handle complaints, you have to either give in to customers at every opportunity or watch them take their business elsewhere.

Do You Really Love What You Do?

If you don’t love what you do, then sooner or later you’re going to want to stop doing it – and when you run a home business, that’s difficult. Besides, you can’t run a home business if you’re always sitting and thinking about how great it’ll be when it’s the weekend. No, the only way to succeed in home business is to be absolutely sure that you really love what you’re doing. If you can think of another job you’d rather have, then you’re in trouble.

Think of it this way: could you run up to someone on the street with a leaflet about your business, and tell them all about it in a way that would really leave an impression? It doesn’t matter whether you actually could or not – if you think everyone will be interested, then, believe me, they will be.

This article has been written with as much information on home business as possible. If I think of anything more to write on home business, another article will be on its way!

Why Start a Home Business?

Posted on Friday, 6th June 2008 in Home Based Business

Working from home is a dream for many – but actually going ahead and starting a home business is very difficult. So what makes so many people want to do it, and why would you ever try such a crazy thing? Here are some common reasons, and some things to consider.

You Can Build Your Great Idea.

Slang is one thing that has not been included in this composition on home business. It is because slang only induces bad English, and loses the value of English.

It would be hopeless trying to get people who are not interested in knowing more about home business to read articles pertaining to it. Only people interested in home business will enjoy this article.

It suddenly hit you like a bolt of lightning: you’ve thought of a great business idea. This is perhaps the number one reason that people go into business from home: they’ve come up with something great that they really believe in, but can’t afford to rent any business premises. It does depend on what the business is, but working from home is often ideal in these situations.

Getting information on specific topics can be quite irritating for some. This is the reason this article was written with as much matter pertaining to home business as possible. This is the way we aim to help others in learning about home business.

Remember, though, that even the best ideas take hard work to become a reality. The kind of ideas that are good for a home-based business are ones that can become at least partly real quickly, and start bringing in an income – you shouldn’t sit at home for a year working on something that’s making you nothing whatsoever.

You Can Make Your Hobby a Job.

Patience was exercised in this article on home business. Without patience, it would not have been possible to write extensively on home business.

Most people have something that they’re really passionate about, and would spend the rest of their life doing if they could, just for the enjoyment of it. Getting paid for doing what you love is obviously appealing – even if you only earn a living wage, it’d be your idea of paradise.

Make sure, though, that you’d be able to take it if you had to make a living from your passion. It’s the things we’re closest to that hurt us the most – think of how you might feel if no-one buys what you’ve made, or if they send it back and with a note saying “what rubbish, I demand a refund!” Can you cope with your hobby becoming commercial?

You’re Tired of Your Boss.

It seems like everyone hates their boss. They try to pretend like they’re your friend, but they’re not fooling anyone, are they? You’re forced to work to pointless deadlines and targets. Anytime you spot a better way of doing something you’re
told that it’s impractical, or, worse, that it’s great but the stupid way of doing things is already ‘established’ and ‘policy’.

What you might not realise is that ‘being your own boss’ requires quite a lot of willpower. If there was no-one to make you get up in the morning and do any work, would you? Your home is supposed to be a place of rest and entertainment – and when it’s full of the equipment and temptation to do anything but work, working there can be hard.

You Want to Spend More Time with Your Family.

You feel like all you do is go to work, come home, and then sit around, too tired to do anything fun with your family. If you have children, they seem to be growing up so fast, and you’re missing it all – all because you have to go out and work.

Of course, the flipside here is that you might just end up spending too much time with your family, while you’re trying to work. When everyone knows you’ll be in the house all day, they’ll probably ask you to do all sorts of unimportant things, just because you’re available. It’s hard to say no, and before you know it, you’re doing the job of a full-time ‘housewife’ instead of what you set out to do.

You Don’t Like Wasting Time and Money Commuting.

After all, once you get to the office, what is there anyway? Offices are dreary environments, and terrible to work in – travelling for hours there and back and spending a significant proportion of your wages to do it seems completely pointless (especially if you live in the middle of nowhere). If you could work from home, think of the time you’d save… and time is money, isn’t it?

Don’t be surprised, however, if you start to feel trapped in your home, since you never leave it. Can you find good ways to get away from it all?

We have taken the privilege of proclaiming this article to be a very informative and interesting article on home business. We now give you the liberty to proclaim it too.

Thinking of what to do upon reading this article on home business? Well you can very well use the information constructively by imparting it to others.

But Don’t Be Put Off.

While the list of warnings for working at home might look long, a list of warnings about working in an office would surely be longer. As long as you stay on your guard, you can get all the benefits of working from home without falling into any of the traps.

This article on #home business was written keeping all readers’ perspectives in mind. Hope your perspectives were covered in this article too! Check out this week’s featured opportunity in Ambit Energy.

Home Based Business Entrepreneurs Top Ten Time Management Tips

Posted on Friday, 23rd May 2008 in Home Based Business

Someone once said that we are all slaves of time. This is broadly true. Almost everything we do is governed by time: when to eat, when to go to school, when to go out with friends. In fact, just to underscore the importance of time, there have been many adages passed from generation to generation about how to spend time wisely. Nowhere is time more important than in establishing and running your own home based business. Here, you yourself are the boss, therefore, it is up to you to plot your success, and when you can get it. Having said this, here are a few more tips to manage time better for all of you budding work from home entrepreneurs:

1. Plan ahead. A business plan is one sure way to success. Not only should you visualize and write down business goals and visions, you should be able to devise a schedule of weekly and daily schedule for you.

2. Create hierarchies. In order to deal with a seemingly overwhelming number of tasks that should be done before the day ends, prioritize which are most urgent. Less important tasks can wait; put critical tasks at the top of your list of things to do for the day. This is critical to any work from home opportunity otherwise you will be running around in circles! This was one of the most important steps I did to be much more efficient.

3. Utilize downtimes. There may be times when you’re waiting for a response or a meeting, and these minutes can go to waste if you don’t do something about them. Keep a pen and paper handy. Inspiration often strikes during these dull moments.

4. Start early. End Late. The mayhem of simultaneously doing everything at once can be avoided by getting up extra early to set aside some time for yourself to prepare for the long day ahead. This way, you can finish more tasks. Now I know that sounds weird to say, start early, end late, as your probably thinking when do I sleep? But the truth is, my most productive hours of the day are when I first wake up, and late in the night because there isn’t as many distractions and things going on as their are early in the day and afternoon. That is the beauty of running your own work from home opportunities is that you pick your hours and when you want to work.

5. Take a break. Concentrating for too long on a job can lead to burn out. Learn to pace yourself, and take a few minutes to breathe and gather your faculties. For a few minutes, don’t think about work. Think about relaxation.

6. Focus. Once you have created a schedule, follow it. While there is nothing wrong with taking breaks, but it just won’t do to suffer constant interruptions from work. Research says that a lot of people become unproductive if they are always interrupting themselves by breaks.

7. Maintain balance. Working hard and working long hours can be rewarding, but the self-satisfaction will quickly disappear once you have discovered that other aspects of your life had been neglected. It took me awhile to learn this tip but now glad that I can balance my work life, play life, and party life. My first two years in the home business industry I was either working 14 hour days or 1 hour days just managing. Which leads me back to some of my original points back about being focused, planning ahead, and getting on a good schedule and routine.

8. Get organized. While working at home will save you from the embarrassment from chiding comments about how cluttered your workspace is, it’s no excuse for not getting organized. You can get a lot more done if you knew how to locate the things you need and would not have to dig for them under the mess of your desk.

9. Know the value of time. Some people often make the mistake of trying to do everything in order to save money. While this can really save you a few extra dollars, you will become more burnt out, thus hindering your way to success.

10. Separate times for work and play. You may be tempted to go prepare dinner while working on a job order, but chances are, you will either make a mistake on the job or burn the family’s dinner. multi-tasking often leaves one or both tasks incomplete, thus defeating the whole purpose.

Work on these ten time management tips and you will see a more profitable and successful you. The home based business industry is creating more millionaires than any other profession, taking the time to utilize your own time is key to your success if you really want to make this work.  Check out our newest business opportunities, Ambit Energy and Xocai Healthy Chocolate.

Wasting Your Time Trying to Make Money Online

Posted on Monday, 19th May 2008 in Home Based Business

Somehow you ended up on my home based business blog. And if I had to guess or wonder, it probably is about the chance to make money online and become an internet marketer of some sort with any work from home program. And as you have probably noticed already, making money with any home business opportunity is not easy and most do not make the money they desire.

So, why is it that so many internet marketers are not making money with work at home opportunities?

The truth is, as they may be many reasons as to why they are not succeeding, but I think they are simply wasting their time when they are “working” online. Which you may think is simple, but there are numerous ways to be lazy and doing the wrong thing and when they think they are working, they really are not. For example I know many internet marketers check their email 50 times a day or check their website 30 times a day looking to see if something has changed.

I read an article once that said many home business people wasted a lot of their time blogging. Which probably surprises you, as most of us, including me, as I write in my blog, that blogging is vital for your home business opportunity and are probably wondering why I would ever say it’s a waste of time and not making you any money.

Here’s why…

The main key to be successful with any online home business opportunity is getting traffic to your website or blog. There is just no better or simpler way to put it, traffic equals visitors equals potential customers and business builders. And why do I say blogging is bad, well its not bad or a waste of time completely, but when you spend all day coming up with content you are forgetting the most important thing, marketing your blog! As a home based business entrepreneur, you have to market your blog and opportunities, that is the only real way to make money online and be successful.

Like I tell people all the time, you can have the best blog or health product or opportunity in the world, but if you have no marketing skills or way to show and promote it to people then you’re stuck in quick sand and won’t be able to sell or promote or make any legit money. And that is why I used the blogging as one of the bigger wasting of your time because you can have the best blog with the best and most original content of any of the top blogs in your niche or opportunity but if you’re not getting traffic or visitors to read and understand and see you, how will that ever make you money. Your site might contain the secret to life, but if nobody knows about your site they will never read it. Do you see what I mean? Unless you get visitors, you won’t make money!

Which brings me to my next point; you just don’t want to get any kind of website traffic or website viewers to your site. You want targeted traffic, or people who would be interested in what you have to say or promote or advertise.

You need to get traffic from the search engines! The visitors you get to your website/blog from search engines are targeted, they are actively searching for your topic, and they don’t have a clue what Adsense is or what affiliate links are. Plus, if you have done your research and are in the right niche, they are ready to spend money. These are the visitors you make money from.

So, what’s the lesson here?

Simple… Stop wasting your time posting to your blog just hoping someone will come read it. Or wasting even more of your time on digg, myspace, delicious, or any of the other social bookmarking and social networking sites that will bring you traffic but not the kind that will make you any money.

Instead, spend more time each day getting inbound links and working on other search engine optimization techniques. Use as much time as you can each day getting your website/blog ranked at the top of the search engines so you can bring in more of the type of visitors that will make you money.

Doing this one simple thing will greatly increase your chances of making money online with any work from home opportunity so you can quit your job to become a full-time internet marketer and live the life you’ve always dreamed of. Now, stop wasting your time and start making money!

Work From Home Tips

Posted on Wednesday, 30th April 2008 in Home Based Business

Are you interested in working from home? If so then you should definitely check out these work from home tips. Working from home is very desirable, but it is not as easy as it sounds. That is because when you are at home you are in “home mode” and not “work mode”. These distinctions are important to make because if you do not make them and figure out a way to create a “work mode” while at home you will not get much accomplished. The following tips will help you create a work from home atmosphere that will work for you.

Tip #1 Work Hours

Everyone likes the idea of working from home because they can make their own hours. However, if you do not have set work hours on certain days then you will find that it is not as easy to accomplish work from home like you imagined. As a result, decide on some work hours each day and then stick to them. If you need to change them for any reason that is okay, just reschedule those work hours at another time. This may seem silly at first, but you have to control your schedule in order to complete your work.

Tip #2 Work Space

In order to successfully work from home you will need a set workspace. The reason this is important is that you need to know where your workspace is and that when you are in that area you are in work mode. In addition, if you use your entire house your office then you will misplace things and make working from home more difficult on yourself. You may not have space for an office so to speak but you can make a place where you only work from home.

Tip #3 Turn off the TV

When you are at home, you may always have the TV turned on. This is normal because people like to keep up with what is going on in the world as well as their favorite shows. However, the problem is that if you have the TV on you will not be able to accomplish as much work. That is because you will be distracted, constantly looking up for a few minutes here and there, and your work will suffer. If you really want to take advantage of the opportunity to work from home and make the most of your time then turn off the TV. You will get more work done and then can sit down and watch an entire show without feeling guilty about it!

There are of course many other work from home tips you can implement to help you accomplish more and make the most out of working at home. However, the three mentioned here are a really good start and if you implement these you will see immediate results. You can work from home, but you must be disciplined and focused or you will not get very far with any home business opportunity you choose!

5)      Build your list for future products, ebooks, and courses you may promote or create

6)      Keep adding to your list of products you can promote and sell

If you do these six simple steps, over time, you will have a wide variety of products you can sell and promote and eventually will add up to a really nice residual income stream. In addition you will be building up a list of 100s and 1000s of people so you anytime you stumble upon a new product or have a new idea, you have a list of people you can experiment with and promote within to get a feel for how it will do and if you want to take the time to promote and market your new idea or product.

This is just another way using the power of the internet, websites, marketing and blogging can help make your desire to become a home based business entrepreneur happen before you know it!
